Coal miner company PT Dharma Putera Wahana Pratama (Dewata) is expecting to produce 1 million tons of coal with CV ranging from 6,100 to 7,500 Kcal/kg from its concessions in East Kalimantan.

President Director of Dewata Paulus W. Broto told Petromindo.com that the company has about 20 concessions in Kalimantan with total area of 30,000 hectares.

"We target the 1 million tons of production just from five of our concessions," he said. Meanwhile, the rest of the concessions, according to Paulus, are still in the process of "clean and clear" status verification.

Paulus revealed that the company had actually started the production of coal in 2006 with initial production of about 250,000 ton then.
