Dewata sees production from Murung Raya in two years

Coal mining company PT Darma Putera Wahana Pratama (Dewata) expects its subsidiary PT Naan Bara Abadi to start production at coking coal project in Murung Raya, Central Kalimantan within 2 years.

Paulus W. Broto, President Director of PT Darma Putera Wahana Pratama told Petromindo.com on Monday that currently the company is in the process of pre-exploration phase.

?We have obtained technical verification from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and is waiting for the forestry license,? he said adding that once the forestry license has been obtained, exploration will be launched.

?Hopefully two years from now, we will start production from Murung Raya,? Paulus said.

Earlier Paulus revealed that the company has budgeted about US$ 10 million to develop the concession. The concession has a total area of 24,000 hectares and is estimated to have hundreds of million ton resources.
