Dian Kemala to build FSRU in Banten

PT Energi Dian Kemala and its partner plans to build a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) in Banten, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Monday.

Energi Dian?s plan to build the FSRU was contained in a letter sent by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik to the chairman of upstream authority SKK Migas Rudi Rubiandini.

Rudi later confirmed that Dian Kemala and several other companies had formed a consortium to build the FSRU. But he declined the elaborate details of the FSRU or the LNG receiving terminal.

?They have long applied for a permit. They comprise of small local companies and have formed a consortium,? he said.

Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Susilo Saiswoutomo, however, said that he was not aware about the plan. (*)
