The Office of the State Minister of State Owned Enterprises has appointed Dian Rachmawan as the new President Director of state-owned seaport operator PT Pelindo I.

Pelindo I Corporate Secretary M. Eriansyah said late last week that Dian replaces Bambang Eka Cahyana who was dismissed on May 28.

Dian was previously a director at state-controlled telecommunications firm PT Telkom (from 2017).  He was previously CEO of Telkom International Hong Kong Ltd (2011).  He graduated in telecommunications engineering from the Bradford University, UK, in 1994.

Elsewhere, Eriansyah said that Pelindo I has completed the entire expansion work at the Sibolga Port in North Sumatra Province.  The expansion included construction of a 153-meter multipurpose pier, a container yard, trestle and breasting dolphin, installation of fix cranes, revamping of passengers terminal, and expansion of 400-sqkm ferry port.
