Dian starts construction of C. Kalimantan power plant project

IDX-listed coal mining and energy company PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk started on Tuesday construction of a 2x100 MW Kalselteng-1 PLTU coal-fired power plant project in Central Kalimantan Province with a groundbreaking ceremony attended among others by senior company, local government and state-owned electricity firm PT PLN officials.
The company said in a statement that the project, located in Rungan District, Gunung Mas Regency, is being developed by indirect subsidiary PT SKS Listrik Kalimantan.
The power plant project, which is targeted for completion in 2019, will increase power supply in Gunung Mas Regency as well as in Central Kalimantan Province as the local government seeks to increase electrification ratio. (*)
