Dieng Geothermal Power Plant which stopped operating for three days due to an explosion on the pipe that transports steam to the plant’s main pipeline last week, resumed operation on Tuesday, Suara Karya reported on Wednesday.
“For the moment, one of the two turbines would operate at a capacity of 30 MW or a half of the total installed capacity," General Manager of PT Geo Dipa Energi’s Dieng unit Soewondo Koesoemo said in Semarang on Tuesday.
The 60-MW power plant is operated by PT.Geo Dipa Energi, a joint venture between state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina and state electricity firm PT PLN. (*)
