Director general of electricity authorized to approve certain permits

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Jero Wacik has given part of his authority in approving permits in the electricity sector to the Director General of Electricity as stipulated in the newly issued Minister of Energy Decree No 2339K/20/MEM/2014.
According to the copy of the decree obtained Monday, among of the authorities handed over to the Director General of Electricity are:
A. Approval/disapproval of business permits for electricity supply, supporting business, and operational permit
B. Permits for the use of electricity network for telecommunications, multimedia, and information technology
C. Approval/disapproval of accreditation of technical inspection institution, competency certification agency, and business certification agency
D. Approval/disapproval of operational acceptance certificate, competency certificate, and enterprise certificate
E. Approval/disapproval of low voltage technical inspection institution; and
F. Giving administrative sanctions to the related business players.
