DNX Indonesia, a subsidiary of Australia-based Dyno Nobel has conducted inauguration of new emulsion plant in Martabe Gold Mine in South Tapanuli, North Sumatra.

Martabe is a gold mine by open pit methods which require blasting methods for rock breakage process.

?I am very proud to see that DNX facility established in Sumatera as DNX?s new territory? Steve Dawson on behalf of DNX said in the statement made available to Petromindo.com.

The company said on Friday that Emulsion plant right on the Martabe site was very strategic position to DNX, because Sumatra has large gold and coal reserves and in time would require explosives. DNX was aware that 'supply chain and explosives logistics' are known to be difficult in Sumatra, Indonesia.

Juju Juanda, Commercial Manager of DNX revealed that "Emulsion Plant at Site Martabe is a very strategic position to DNX, because Sumatra has the largest coal reserves in the future when transportation infrastructure is ready, then production will be huge. In Martabe Site as a miniature of Sumatra operation, we continue to learn from all aspects, logistics, permits and character of the community so DNX can be most prepared in Sumatra."
