Indonesia?s domestic demand for fuel in 2003 is estimated at 60.3 million kiloliters, down from the 60.5 million kiloliters proposed by the government, a senior executive of state oil and gas company Pertamina told Petromindo.com recently.

Tuti Anggraheini, deputy to Pertamina?s downstream director, said it had agreed with the House of Representatives on the 60.3 million-kiloliter figure.

Meanwhile, Pertamina?s downstream director Muchsin Bahar said earlier that it had planned to import between 1.2 million and 1.3 million kiloliters of fuel in 2003.

The imported fuel would mainly come from Singapore and Kuwait, Muchsin said. (godang)
