Donggi Senoro EPC tender nearing completion

Publicly listed energy firm PT Medco Energi Internasional said that the ongoing tender for EPC to build production facilities at the Donggi Senoro LNG project in Sulawesi is nearing completion with a contract award targeted to take place before the end of second quarter.

Medco said in a presentation distributed during its shareholders? meeting on Wednesday that the development of the project is so far ?ahead of schedule.? Previously, the announcement of the tender winner was scheduled for August.

The operator of the Donggi Senoro project expects the project can deliver first LNG to buyers in the fourth quarter 2014.

The Donggi production facilities consist of three main jobs, namely the development of 30 kilometer gas pipeline from Donggi Gas Plant to DS-LNG plant, development of Donggi gas refining facility to remove sulphur and CO2, and development of 20 kilometer flow line from well head to Donggi gas plant. The total value of the projects is US$ 200 million.

Medco added that the overall Senoro upstream development is targeted to be 25 percent completed by the end of the year, while the construction of Donggi Senoro LNG plant reaches 50 percent.
