Donggi Senoro LNG project on track to deliver gas in Q4 2014

The management of PT Donggi Senoro LNG which is developing the Donggi Senoro liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Sulawesi, is confident to commence gas delivery to its buyers in the fourth quarter 2014, a company executive said.
At present, the construction of the LNG plant has reached 20 percent from completion. ?We are now in the process of constructing the DSLNG project plant. The construction process is about 20 percent to completion and we are optimistic to complete the project in the fourth quarter of 2014,? Andi Karamoy, Director for Corporate Affair of PT DSLNG, told Petromindo.com
Andi reiterated that there are three committed LNG buyers from the project, namely Chubu Electric with a volume of 1 million tons per annum of LNG , Kogas with a volume of 700,000 tons and Khyusu Electric at 300,000 tons. ?The LNG will be delivered starting from fourth quarter of 2014,? said Andi.
Rudi Rubiandini, Deputy Chairman of upstream oil and gas regulator BPMIGAS, said the commercial aspect of the Donggi Senoro LNG project is now depending on the production sharing contractor (PSC). ?All buyers are ready to purchase the LNG, including domestic fertilizer plants,? he said.
Among domestic buyers of of the Donggi Senoro LNG are fertilizer plant developer PT Pancara Amar Utama (PAU) in Sulawesi, fertilizer plant PT Pupuk Sriwijaya and state electricity company PT PLN.
PT Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG), the developer of Donggi Senoro LNG project, is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corporation (51 percent), Pertamina Energy Services Pte. Ltd. (PES) (29 percent), and PT. Medco LNG Indonesia (MLI) (20 percent). PES is a subsidiary of Indonesia?s state-owned oil and gas company, PT Pertamina (Persero), and MLI is a wholly owned company of oil, gas energy firm PT Medco Energi International Tbk.
