Draft regulation on executive body completed

Ministry of energy and mineral resources had completed the drafting of the new oil and gas implementing regulation on the new executive body that would take over Pertamina?s role in production sharing management.

?The draft is now brought to inter-departmental discussion and after that it would be submitted to the secretary of state,? said Kardaya Warnika, a senior official at the ministry and the head of the team that draft the regulation.

According to oil and gas law, the executive body must be formed one year after the law becomes effective.

Kardaya expected the government decree would be issued in the next few months. (godang)
