Drilling activities in border areas to pick up in 2014: SKK Migas

Upstream authority SKK Migas announced that several firms are planning to carry out next year survey and exploration drilling activities in their oil and gas blocks located in the border areas of Indonesia and Malaysia.
Head of Survey and Drilling Division Arief Fanzuri told Petromindo.com that such activities are to take place in at least three blocks.
The first one is Premier Oil in its Tuna block. It Is scheduled to drill Singa Laut-1 exploration well in March and Kuda Laut-1 exploration well in June, said Arief.
Star Energy meanwhile is scheduled to drill Sirius-1X exploration well in its Sebatik block in East Kalimantan in August, having completed a 2D seismic survey in 2012.
In Sokang block, Black Platinum will drill Paus Hitam-1 exploration well in September, following a successful 2D survey in 2012.
