Drilling at Oyong well in Sampang PSC starts

Australian energy firm Cue Energy Resources Limited said it and its partners had started drilling at the Oyong-1 well in the Sampang production sharing contract (PSC) block offshore East Java.

The company said in a statement made available to Petromindo.Com on Wednesday drilling started on Saturday and the well was already at 348 meters on Tuesday.

The well is programmed to a total depth of 2,271 meters with drilling expected to take 30 days on a dry hole basis.

Sampang PSC is 15 percent owned by Cue, 45 percent by Santos (Sampang) Pty Ltd, 40 percent by Coastal Indonesia Sampang Ltd. (Bodega)
