Drilling in Sebaya-1 well in E. Java reaches 172 feet

The well was spudded on September 20.
According to the company?s announcement the well was initially drilled to 172 feet and 20 inches casing was set and cemented at 167 feet.
According to Cityview?s earlier report, the total depth of the well would be 1230 meters below sea level and would target two zones: the Tawun sands at 200 meters and the Tuban sands at 900 meters.
The structures are well defined and are adjacent to wells that have either tested or produced gas or oil.
Cityview said Projected drilling time for the well is 25 days.
Local oil and gas firm Medco Energi is the operator of the block with 75 percent working interest while cityview holds the remaining 25 percent (free carried). (alex)
