Drilling of Lengo-2 well results in gas flows

The drilling and testing of the Lengo-2 appraisal well in the Bulu PSC has resulted in gas flow rates of 4.5 million scfd for drill stem testing 1 (DST-1) and 21.2 million scfd for DST-2, according to ASX-listed AWE Limited in the quarterly report on Tuesday.

Preliminary analysis of the DSTs indicated an average gas composition of Methane 64 percent, CO2 13 percent, Nitrogen 20 percent and other hydrocarbon gases 3 percent which are similar to gas composition results from the Lengo-1 well.

Operator KrisEnergy is revising the geological static and dynamic models and AWE?s 2C Contingent Resources estimates may be revised subsequent to this work.

The block is located in the East Java Sea.

The joint venture partners in the Bulu production sharing contract (PSC) are AWE Limited (via subsidiaries) with interest at 42.5 percent, KrisEnergy Satria Limited (Operator) at 42.5 percent, PT. Satria Energindo at 10.0 percent, and PT. Satria Wijaya Kusuma at 5.0 percent.
