IDX-listed PT Sugih Energy, a partner of operator PT Hexindo Gemilang Jaya for the Lemang PSC block, said a drilling would be carried out on Selong-1 exploration well at the block in South Sumatra in the third quarter of the year.
Sugih holds a 49 percent participating interest in the block, with Hexindo, a subsidiary of Singapore-listed Ramba Energy Limited, controlling the balance.
Director Bagoes Hermanto said the two companies are now developing a 7-km road to open access to the well, which is scheduled for completion by early August. ?Once the road access was completed, exploration drilling on Selong can commence in mid-August.?
The drilling was originally planned in the first quarter, but Ramba Energy had earlier announced it needed more time to complete construction activities.
