Upstream authority SKK Migas announced that as of February exploration drillings have been conducted on 10 wells, out of a target of around 21 wells.

Meanwhile, drilling on exploitation well only reached 100 wells, of the targeted 144 wells, Elan Biantoro, Head of PR Department, told the press on Friday.

2D seismic survey has reached 228 km2, about 18 percent of full-year target of 1250 km2, while 3D survey reached 957 km2, Elan added.

Among the main reasons behind the lower-than-targeted activities are overlapping issues, thievery, weather and problems related to licensing process. ?The other problem is rig procurement,? said Elan.

On oil production, it has averaged over 830 mbopd throughout February.
