DSLNG plant starts receiving gas

The Donggi Senoro LNG (DSLNG) plant in Banggai regency, Central Sulawesi started receiving gas from the Senoro field last week for commissioning purpose, according to a senior official of PT Medco Energi Internasional.
Eka Satria, Medco?s Development Director told Petromindo.Com the Senoro field is channelling 6 mmscfd of gas and the commissioning will last six months, aimed to check the whole system, including pipes, the transmission of gas to generators etc.
The Senoro gas field is operated by JOB Pertamina-Medco E&P Tomori Sulawesi (JOBPMTS).
The US$2.8 billion DSLNG plant is owned by a consortium of Medco, state owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina (Persero), and Japanese firm Mitsubishi Corporation. The plant will have a total production capacity of 2.1 million tons per annum, and will obtain its gas supply from the Senoro and Matindok gas fields.
The LNG plant will start full production mid-2015, Eka said.
