PT Donggi-Senoro LNG (DSLNG), the owner of the Donggi Senoro LNG plant, said that the plant?s LNG output this year is expected to reach 2.2 million tons, compared to the planned 2 million tons target.
?The performance in 2016 is quite encouraging, both in terms of production and safety. There was an increase in production with additional gas supply from CPP Donggi. The plant has also been running normally throughout the year with good safety record,? said DSLNG Director for Corporate Affairs Aditya Mandala on Tuesday.
The Donggi Senoro LNG plant, located at Banggai Regency in Central Sulawesi Province, which started operation in June of 2015 and began LNG delivery in August 2015, has been receiving feed gas primarily from two upstream producers namely JOB Pertamina-Medco E&P Tomori Sulawesi (PMTS) which operates Senoro Toili Block and PT Pertamina Exploration and Production (EP) which operates Matindok Block.
Aditya said that since April 2016, the plant also has received gas from the Donggi Central Processing Plant (CPP) owned by Pertamina EP, thus increasing the average gas volume processed at the LNG plant to 355 mmscfd from the planned 335 mmscfd.
Elsewhere, Aditya said that the Donggi Senoro LNG plant has managed to ship a total of 40 cargoes of LNG this year, to long-term overseas buyers primarily in Japan and South Korea, with one cargo went to state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina. ?We have shipped 40 cargoes of the planned 36 cargoes for this year,? he said.
In comparison, last year the LNG plant shipped only 11 cargoes, one of which was allocated for the domestic market.
PT DSLNG is co-owned by PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Korea Gas Corporation.
