IDX-listed PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSS) has set a target for its coal mining concession in South Sumatra, owned by subsidiary PT Bumi Kencana Eka Sejahtera (BKES), to start production in 2015.
The subsidiary is currently conducting details exploration work to determine the reserves and the production capacity of the concession.
DSS Corporate Secretary Hermawan Tarjono told Petromindo.com Monday that the coal output from the concession will be allocated for the nearby Sumsel-5 coal fired power plant currently being constructed by the company.
DSS acquired the BKES concession in 2012. The company, through subsidiary PT Golden Energy Mines, also owns several coal concessions in South Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan and Jambi.
