DSSA to start construction of Kalimantan power plant project next year

IDX-listed coal mining and power plant company PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) hopes to be able to start construction of its planned 2x100 MW coal-fired power plant project in Gunung Mas Regency, Central Kalimantan, next year.
DSSA Director and Corporate Secretary Hermawan Tarjono said on Tuesday that basic works such as construction of roads are currently in progress.
DSSA through its indirect subsidiary PT DSSP Power Mas Utama is planning to develop the estimated US$337 million power plant project in cooperation with state-owned electricity firm PT PLN under a build, operate, and transfer scheme.
DSSP has appointed China?s Dong Fang as the EPC contractor for the power plant project, which has been targeted to be completed in 2019. The power plant is designed with a feedstock of 3,200 CV coal.
