DSSP signs contracts for S.Sumatra mine mouth power plant development

PT DSSP Power Sumsel, a special purpose company of Indonesia-listed firm PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa (DSS) has signed an equipment supply contract with China National Electric Engineering Co. Ltd to realize the planned 2x150 MW mine mouth power plant in South Sumatra.
The company also signed a contract on design engineering and construction with Harbin Power system Engineering & Research Institute Co., Ltd.
The signing of contracts with the two China-based companies are made following the appointment of DSSP by the state-owned electricity company PT PLN to build the power plant.
The construction of the mine mouth power plant will take 3 years and the commercial operation date is expected to be in 2015.
