Pertamina?s refinery plant in Dumai, Riau continued normal operation after a small fire hit the heat exchange facility of the plant?s crude oil processing unit, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Thursday.

?It was not really a fire, it was just a spark caused by oil leakage at the heat exchange pipe,? said Pertamina?s Processing Director Rukmi Hadihartini.

Rukmi said the small fire at the newly installed heat exchange facility lasted less than 10 minutes adn thus did not bring a serious impact on the refinery?s operation. The plant continued its operation normally just a few minutes after the incident, she said.
