Dumai refinery halts operation

State oil and gas firm PT Pertamina is forced to completely halt its Dumai refinery operations in Riau province after a pump motor exploded, Detik.Com reported on Friday.
The newsportal quoted local Pertamina spokesman Umar Johan said the refinery had stopped refining oil since Thursday. " He said the motor explosion had prompted the Pertamina to shut down the refinery, adding that currently repairing process is underway.
Pertamina Processing Director Suroso Atmomartoyo when contacted by Petromindo.Com confirmed incident, but he did not give further detail.
The refinery, located in Riau province, has a 120,000 b/d processing capacity.(*)
