Dumai refinery plant still operates at full capacity

Pertamina's refinery plant in Dumai, Riau will continue to operate at its maximum capacity in order to meet the growing fuel demand in Riau, Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
Mirunggandi, a senior official of Pertamina's division in Riau, said on Tuesday that the Dumai refinery's fuel production could still be maintained at its maximum level of between 130,000 barrels and 140,000 barrels per day.
He said of the total production, the Dumai refinery produced about 18,000 barrels of Premium fuel, 79,000 barrels of diesel oil, 11,600 of aviation turbine fuel and 29,000 barrels of kerosene per day.
The refinery gets crude oil supplies from a number oil wells in Riau. Its crude oil consumption accounts for about 25 percent of Riau's total crude oil production which reaches 550,000 barrels per day. (*)
