Dumai refinery unit operating at 57 % capacity

State-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina has lowered the operating rate of a crude distillation unit (CDU) at its 120,000 barrel-a-day Dumai refinery in Riau due to utility problems, the company official said.

"The CDU unit at the refinery has been running at only 57 percent of its capacity since yesterday due to the troubles," Processing Director Suroso Atmomartoyo said Friday.

Operations at the refinery are expected to normalize in January 21, he said. (bernard)
