IDX listed glue producer turns coal miner PT Duta Pertiwi Nusantara recently stated it has won the lawsuit filed by its coal mining unit PT Intitirta Primasakti at the Jakarta State Administrative Court. The ruling, dated July 16, 2012, was confirmed by the court's Decision Letter No. 42/G/2012/PT UN-JKT dated July 31, 2012.
Intitirta Primasakti, a 60 percent owned subsidiary of Duta Pertiwi and an affiliated company of PT Ayrus Prima, filed a lawsuit to the Jakarta Administrative Court earlier this year in June against the government's decision to cut its initial 106,000 hectares of accumulative concession area in Sorolangun Jambi, South Sumatra, to a maximum of 25,000 hectares. The company stated to secure a Coal Contract of Work (CCoW) permit for the concession which has coal with calorific value between 4,000 and 5,500 kcal/kg.
In response to the ruling, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources has filed an appeal, copy which letter was received by the company on July 31, 2012, according to the company in its second quarterly report submitted to the Indonesian Stock Exchange.
