PT Intirta Primasakti, a subsidiary of IDX-listed plywood adhesive producer PT Duta Pertiwi Nusantara Tbk, will resume activities to develop its three coal concessions in Jambi and South Sumatra after the State Administrative Court overturned an earlier Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources regulation terminating the company?s PKP2B coal mining permit.
In a filing with the IDX, Duta Pertiwi said Friday that Intitirta aims to submit the necessary work and budget plans for the development of the concessions within a 60-day period to the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal at the ministry.
Intitirta has three concessions in Sorolangun and Batanghari Regencies (Jambi), and in Musi Banyuasin (South Sumatra) totaling 48,175 ha.
Meanwhile, Kontan daily quoted President Director of Duta Pertiwi Siang Hadi Wijadja as saying that production at the concessions is expected to start in 2015 as the company will need quite sometime to develop the necessary infrastructure facilities.
He said that the initial production rate was expected at 500,000-1 million tons per year, producing coal with calorific value of 5,000-5,700 kcal/kg.
