E. Java fertilizer maker secures coal supply for proposed power, steam plants

East Java fertilizer maker PT.Petrokimia Gresik (PG) has secured coal supply commitments from Kalimantan producers to fuel its proposed power and steam plant in a bid to convert to cheaper energy, Koran tempo reported on Monday.
The daily quoted CEO Arifin Tasrif as saying that the company had secured 600,000 tonnes per annum supply commitment from PT.Adaro Indonesia, PT.Kideco Jaya Agung and PT.Arutmin Indonesia.
The report did not give further detail.
PG aims to complete the construction of the power plant and steam plant in 2010. (*)
