E. Java to tender three geothermal working areas

The East Java provincial administration plans to hold tender mid this year for three geothermal working areas, Bisnis Indonesia daily reported Thursday.
Head of the Energy Office of the administration Dewi J. Putriani said that the geothermal working areas to be put on tender include the Gunung Pandan area in Bojonegoro, Songgoriti, and Gunung Arjuno-Welirang in Malang.
She said that the Gunung Pandan and Songgoriti areas have the potential to fuel a 25 MW power plant, while Arjuno-Welirang has a greater potential of 200 MW. (*)
