E. Kalimantan coal miners still struggle to obtain land-use permit

East Kalimantan coal miners PT Nusantara Energi and PT Anco Millenium Indonesia are still unable to develop their coal concessions in Berau regency in East Kalimantan because they have yet to obtain land-use permit from the forestry ministry, a local newspaper reported Tuesday.

Chief of mineral and coal enterprises section at the regency's energy and mineral resources, Rohadian said that both firms? concessions are located in "Areas Designated for Forestry Uses". They thus have to obtain permit from forestry ministry to exploit the concessions.
