Production of coal miners holding the IUP mining business permits in East Kalimantan this year is expected to exceed the limit set by the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal.
Head of the provincial mining office Goenoeng Djoko Hadi was quoted by tribunkaltim.co as saying that the central government has set a production quota of 52.6 million tons, while local administration has approved permit for the production of 92 million tons of coal by the IUP miners.
He said that it?s quite difficult to lower the production of the IUP miners as last year?s output by the miners had already reached 74 million tons. (*)
