?The final bidders for the first 2 MTPA supply are PT. Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC), PT. Indominco Mandiri and PT. Anugerah Bara Kaltim,? said Tanjung jati B General Manager Afianto Hapsoro. He said that the winner would be decided by PLN?s board of director soon..
Hapsoro did not give specific detail about the contract, but earlier coal supply bid announcement said that the contract would be for 10 years of medium calorific value of 5,600 kcal/kg on gross as received with FOB basis.
He also added that Tanjung Jati B would open re-tender for another 2 million tones coal supply after previous tender failed to find qualified participants. He did not say when the tender would be opened.
The 2x600-MW Tanjung Jati B is owned by PT. Central Java Power (CJP), in which Japan trading house Sumitomo is controlling shareholder. CJP entered into a 20-year long-term lease with PLN, under which PLN will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the power plant during the lease period. (godang)
