E. Kalimantan?s high school students visit KPC project

East Kalimantan-based coal mining giant PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) recently received a group of students from a local high school who wished to observe on mining activities of the company, local daily Kaltim Post reported Friday.

The students, from Sangatta?s SMUN 1 high school, were taken around to see KPC?s coal mining projects in Sangatta, East Kutai. They included coal excavation and transportation, and coalmine reclamation projects.

KPC operates a huge coalmine in Sangatta. It is jointly owned by world energy and mining giants Rio Tinto and BP Plc. (*)
