East Kalimantan Mandiri Intiperkasa starts coal production

Coal mining company PT Mandiri Intiperkasa has started exploitation activities since January 2004 at its coal mine site in Majalutung, Sembakung district, East Kalimantan province, head of the Nunukan regency mining office Andi Firman said.
The Kaltim Post daily reported in its Saturday edition that the company aimed to produce between 1-1.5 million tons of coal per year.
Andi was quoted by the paper as saying that in fact Mandiri has exported coal to Japan and India.(*)
