EDC eyes Indonesian geothermal sector

Philippines-based Energy Development Corp.(EDC) has expressed interest to develop geothermal energy in Indonesia. The company is currently conducting geothermal survey in Grahonyabu, Jambi province.
?EDC from the Philippines is carrying out geothermal survey in Grahonyabu, Jambi,? Director of Geothermal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Tisnaldi, told Petromindo.com Friday.
He did not provide further details. EDC is also seeking to develop geothermal energy in other countries such as Kenya and Peru.
