Eddie Widiono appointed MEI chairman

Eddie Widiono Suwondo, president director of state electricity company PLN, was appointed on Thursday chairman of Indonesia Energy Society (MEI), Bisnis Indonesia reported.
Eddie holds the MEI chairman post for the 2002 ? 2006 period.
MEI was founded in May 2002 by around 26 associations from the energy sector.
Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro said Thursday MEI could greatly contribute to the drafting of energy laws. (*)
