The Egyptian government has offered state oil and gas company Pertamina several offshore and onshore areas for oil and gas explorations, a senior official of the state company said.

Pertamina?s upstream director Iin Arifin Takhyan told Petromindo.Com Friday that Pertamina was still studying the offer.

?They (the Egyptian government) has given us the documents containing the data on the exploration areas,? Iin said.

He said Pertamina would participate in the bidding for the oil and gas areas scheduled for April this year if it found the data ?interesting?. (Godang)
