Oil and gas downstream regulator BPH Migas president director Tubagus Haryono said that these companies would hold a presentation of their offers at his office on October 8.
?In order to be able to carry out public service obligation (PSO) in the sales of subsidized fuels, these companies should own sufficient fuel stocks and reliable distribution networks,? he said.
The agency earlier said at least 27 companies had obtained government licenses to distribute fuel in the country. They include PT Pertamina, Shell, PT Elnusa Petrofin, PT AKR Corporindo, Petronas, PT Sigma Rancang Perdana, PT Tiara Energy, PT NDO Fuel, Concord fuel, PT Solar Premium Central, PT Bumi Asri Prima, PT Unitrada Komutama, PT Petro Andalan Nusantara, PT Hutan Nilam Persada, PT Cosmic Indonesia, PT Patra Niaga, PT Premindo Mitra Kencana, PY Mulya Adhi Paramita, PT Dwikarya Niaga Agung, PT Jagad Energy, PT Mahaputra Adi Nusa, PT Medco Sarana Kalibaru, PT Barito Energy, PT Ranji Karya Sakti, PT Humpuss Trading, PT Global Artha Borneo and PT Surya Makmur Agung Lestari.
BPH Migas has divided the domestic fuel market into four main distribution areas; Java-Bali, Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi-Maluku-Papua.
Companies should have already operated in at least two distribution areas and owned reliable distribution facilities to be able to take part in the tender, Tubagus said in August 03, 2008. (godang)
