Eksploitasi expects delay in completion of Tembilahan power plant

IDX-listed coal miner PT Eksploitasi Energi Indonesia Tbk said completion of its 2x7 MW Tembilahan coal-fired power plant in Riau is expected to be delayed from the initial schedule of end 2014 to end of 2015 due to a number of factors.

Head of Investor Relations Wim Andrian was quoted Thursday by Investor Daily as saying that the current drop in the value of the rupiah against the US dollar requires the to renegotiate the price of the generation unit with the Chinese manufacturer.

He added that land acquisition has so far.covered about 35 percent of the requirement.

Wim, however, said that completion of the Rengat coal-fired power plant is on track to meet the April 2015 target. (*)
