IDX-listed coal mining firm PT Eksploitasi Energi Tbk said that coal sales volume this year is expected to double from last year?s 1.6 million tons.

?Sales volume in March alone, to PLN and Indonesia Power, has already reached 900,000 tons,? said Wim Adrian, Director and Corporate Secretary of Eksploitasi, to petromindo.com on Thursday, referring to the state-owned electricity firm and its subsidiary.

Wim said that while the company has its own coal concession, the coal for sale are purchased from other nearby mines as its own mines have yet to start production given the current weak price.

Eksploitasi, which sells coal only to PLN and Indonesia Power, has a number of coal concessions in Kalimantan with combined estimated reserves of 186 million tons. Through subsidiary PT Sekti Rahayu Indah it has concession in Kotawaringin Timur, Central Kalimantan, and in Barito Utara, also in Central Kalimantan, through subsidiary PT Abe Jaya Perkasa, and in Tanah Laut, South Kalimantan, through subsidiary PT Dwi Guna Laksana.
