Electricity blackout hits Java-Bali

Electricity blackout hits parts of Java and Bali islands due to problems at Jakarta power plants, a senior official at the state electricity firm PLN said on Wednesday
PLN Senior official Purnomo Willy told reporters that supply from Muara Karang and Tanjung Priok power plants will be substantially reduced due to troubles at generating units and boilers.
Willy said supply may get back to normal Friday, adding that PLN may carry rotating blackout in some part of greater Jakarta.
According to Willy, Java-Bali island suffers electricity deficit 316MW while Jakarta and Tangerang suffer between 50-100MW deficit.(godang)
