Electricity tariffs for low-medium voltage customers down, up for high voltage group

State-owned electricity company PLN announced on Sunday a cut in May electricity tariffs for its low to medium-voltage customers, and higher tariff for the high-voltage consumers.

PLN said in a statement that that the tariff for the low-voltage consumers is lowered from Rp 1,343 per kWh in April to Rp 1,353 pr kWh in May.

The group includes:
1. Small house (R1/1300 VA)
2. Small house (R1/2200 VA)
3. Medium house (R2/3500-5500 VA)
4. Big house (R3/6600 VA and above
5. Medium business (B2/6600 VA-200 kVA)
6. Medium government (P1/6600 VA-200 kVA)
7. Street lights P3

Tariff for medium-voltage customer group is cut down from Rp 1,033 per kWh in April to Rp 1,041 per kWh in May.

This group includes:
8. Big business (B3/above 200 kVA)
9. Medium industry (I3/above 200 kVA)
10. Big government (P2/ above 200 kVA)

Meanwhile, tariff for high-voltage customer group is increased from Rp 925 pr kWh in April to Rp 931 per kWh in May. The group includes:

11. Large-scale industry (I4/above 30 MVA)
