Elisabeth Proust named as new IPA President

Elisabeth Proust, President Director and General Manager of Total E&P Indonesie, has been named as the new President of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA).

The association announced on Tuesday that Proust, effective as of April 19th, replaced Jim Taylor, who is leaving the country for his new assignment as the President and General Manager of ConocoPhillips China.

The composition of the new 2012 Board of Directors of IPA is as follows.

About the IPA:
Established on March 24th 1971, the IPA is a non-profit organization that represents almost the entire Upstream Oil and Gas Sector in Indonesia . The Association aims to create a forum for its members to discuss common concerns, exchange ideas and work towards common goals which is to fully realize the hydrocarbon potential of Indonesia for the benefit of all stakeholders. The IPA also acts as a partner to relevant government institutions and provides the industry?s views on how to encourage a favorable environment for investment and competitiveness in the oil and gas sector.
