Elnusa buys new seismic vessel

IDX-listed oil and gas service firm PT Elnusa Tbk announced on Monday that it recently bought a new vessel for marine seismic survey.
The purchasing of the new seismic vessel aims to support exploration in Indonesian offshore areas, President Director Syamsurizal said, adding there are few national companies which have competence in marine seismic and there are few Indonesian-flagged seismic vessels which operate in offshore areas.
The newly-purchased vessel has capacities unrivalled in Indonesia. It is capable of carrying 12 streamers, each with length of 10 km. This makes it able to carry out seismic survey on vast sea areas and produce highly-accurate 3D seismic pictures of underwater condition.
