IDX-listed oil and gas services firm PT Elnusa Tbk said it had at the end of last month completed a 3D seismic work at the Andaman III block in Aceh Province.

Elnusa said in a statement on Monday that the 3D seismic, covering around 3,000 sqkm, the largest so far in Indonesia, was carried out by its ELSA Regent, the largest seismic vessel in the country.

In August, Elnusa said its subsidiary PT Elnusa Trans Samudra obtained a contract from Repsol to carry out 3D seismic survey at the offshore Andaman III block.

The Andaman III block covers an area of 8,517 km2 in the water depth of 1,000-1,400 meters. Talisman Energy was awarded the production sharing contract for the Andaman III block in 2009. Repsol acquired Talisman late in 2014.
