Elnusa operates well testing barge for Total E&P

PT Elnusa Tbk, one of Indonesia?s major providers of upstream oil and gas services, has officially launched the operation of a new testing barge to support exploration activities of Total E&P.
The barge named Well Testing Barge ELSA 6 would be operated by Total E&P at the company?s Handil Base in East Kalimantan under a six-year contract.
Elnusa said that the operation of the floating rig was part of the company? serious commitment to supporting the cabbotage principle, under which, all ships operating in the country including those operated for oil and gas exploration and production activities, should carry national flags.
With the new barge, the contracts booked by Elnusa?s Oil Field Service division rose to US$23 million this year. The division expects to book contracts worth about $55 million this year. (denny)
