Elnusa secures $240m seismic services contracts to date

PT Elnusa, an Indonesia-listed integrated oil and gas services provider, has so far this year secured US$240 worth of seismic services contract through its Geosciences Services Division.
Up to $100 million of which was actually a carry-over from last year?s contract which were managed to be fulfilled only this year. The remaining $140 million is the total value of contract secured this year until September, the company said in a statement.
Corporate Secretary Fajriyah Usman explained in the statement that the carry-over orders from last year were mostly the results of permit issues and bad weather. "Hence the projects could only be started this year, instead of earlier in 2011,? said Fajriyah.
Of the total contracts, 52 percent were for transition zone seismic and marine seismic works.
