Elnusa teams up with GE

IDX-listed oil and gas service company PT Elnusa Tbk announced on Wednesday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT GE Oil & Gas Indonesia, a subsidiary of American multinational firm General Electric, to provide Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) equipment and service in Indonesia.

Under the MoU, Elnusa will provide the ESP integrated service and, through its subsidiary PT Elnusa Fabrikasi Konstruksi, provide supports for the fabrication and maintenance of ESP equipment under the supervision and control of expert staff from GE which provides the technology.

GE?s ESP technology is able to increase oil production in Indonesia. Oil which is hard to produce due challenging environments such as high gas, heavy oil, high temperature can be produced thanks to the technology. Furthermore, the technology improves efficiency, the firm said.
